March was an absolutely dreadful month for lepidopterists with no butterflies and very few moths, so I was very pleased this morning to find millions in the trap. Well, 10 anyway.

Lovely close up!
Supposed to be warming up next week Stewart...but unsettled with it. If the winds not too strong...then we might see an emergence of moths.
Peacock butterfly at Hadston today but still no wheatears or martins.

Dean - Fingers crossed, I'm sick of this cold easterly. We need this in October!
Dave - Not had a single butterfly yet, 5 sp down on last year at this time.
We're getting lower temps in rural Bedfordshire than Northunberland at the mo Stewart.
I haven't been able to put the garden trap on since March 5th, unbelievable !
Looks ok for the weekend and beyond .... so they say
