Above - Cullernose Point. Fulmars and Kittiwakes breed here, not remote or high enough for Ravens ?

Above - Fulmar pair.

Above - Extreme feeding the ducks ( well, swans anyway).

A few snaps from Friday was all I could manage. The weekend has been spent visiting down in Manchester where I also had to buy and collect a cast iron wood burning stove at a price £400 cheaper than the same model up here!

I see everyone has had their fill of Great Grey Shrikes over the weekend. Roll on May when I might stand a chance of getting out and about abit more, I'm getting stir crazy now, not to mention a bit panic stricken as there is only 4 or 5 weekends left to finish off loads of work in the house before moving...

Hi Stewart,
The time will soon pass and you'll be out on your new patch.
Thanks for the Redpoll input. I have decided on it being a ''Mealy'' (see my blog)

Glad you got your wood burner, Stewart. £400, you weren`t kidding about it being cheap.

Hang on in there. If it`s any consolation, i don`t think you`re missing much. Apart from the Ouzel.

Warren - Cheers, roll on...
Dean - The model stove we bought was £699 up here. Down there £270!
As for missing stuff, I do like a shrike....:(

We heat with a wood stove and it gives the most wonderful heat. I really like the picture of the two gulls on the grass.

Hi Oc, the Fulmars on the grass are strange birds. They are quite unlike gulls and are related to Albatrosses. They fly around on stiff wings and glide into strong winds with ease. They nest on our cliffs locally..
