The last couple of weeks have been good for the garden moth trapping. Not so much numbers but a few interesting species have turned up...including a full Northumberland first and a VC68 North Northumberland first.

Fascinating! My husband has been making a moth trap…the bulb has just arrived. Up until now we’ve been leaving on the outside light at the back of our house in order to see what arrives on the white wall…and we’ve seen plenty of moths!
I found an Elephant Hawkmoth in the kitchen, recently! A few years ago , my daughter found a Death’s Head Hawk Moth on the wall of her house! I couldn’t get over the size of it! 😁 Sal( Sal’s Snippets blog)
