Stewart Sexton, a Northumbrian born and bred, I have been interested in natural history for as long as I can remember.

When I'm not working, a lot of my time is spent birding and mothing, though I also venture into any other aspect of the wild environment that takes my fancy. At 53, I'm still as keen as ever to get out and about in the countryside at every available opportunity.

I take photos, but I'm no photographer and I like to draw and paint my subjects though I'm not an artist either!

I have previously served on the Northumberland and Tyneside Bird Club county records committee and served almost 10 years with a ringers C permit. In recent years I've been asked to do talks for local wildlife groups including Alnwick Wildlife Group, Alnwick Natural History Society, Ponteland Wildlife Group, Gateshead Wildlife Group, Northumberland and Tyneside Bird Club etc. I live in North Northumberland with my partner, Jane and our terrier, Bunty...

Jan 2018... Our lovely Bunty died on 23rd December 2017.
