Rarer than a Turtle Dove these days but I still keep a notebook going, just for my own interest. I am up to about 45 of them now and will continue until I can't. I just wish I could decide on a format and stick to it...

Hi Stew, I have just come across your blog and I am blown away by your excellent accounts, especially your brilliant notebooks, a skill which is sadly lacking in todays birding world. I also have me own blog 'The Breckland Birder', and I feel I am learning all the time. I am 59 years of age and have been birding since about the age of 5. Today, after all those years of birding, your notebooks have inspired me to make annotated sketches myself. I am really going to look forward to following your excellent blog.
Hello, I came across you on Twitter - your sketches are so delightful! What a wonderful notebook.
Thanks Jennifer, I have added your blog to my side bar... cheers...
