The 300...

Well that was quick. I made my decision and went for it! Lens delivered today in the midst of gloss painting this afternoon, so all I could manage were a few snaps from the door to the feeders. Very nice they are too...

This Tree Spuggy is taken through our kitchen window, and its still not bad...

I'm really looking forward to a fine day with some 'real' birds...The sun on the visitors above makes a big difference...

Nice one, Stewart. It just shows what some decent kit can achieve.

Nice one, looks like you're a 'proper' photographer now then.....

"Anyone mind if we move a bit closer ?"

Hello all -
Dean - Oh yes, I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in over the summer...

Lou Mary - Yes indeed, please accept my apologies. I do love the common birds as much as any, but taking their photos is like shooting fish in a barrel, I fancy a proper 'field' bird, a Dipper maybe, to photograph. With out a feeder in sight.

Brian - Probably, but I am still there to watch first and foremost. I'm not a photographer.

Warren - Roll on the summer.

Gary - I am hoping to get inappropriately close to tired vagrants just as someone who has travelled some way arrives....
