More depressing news Stew the Cresswell Otter got snagged on something yesterday and drowned. Three observers including Eddie Slack could only watch on helplessly as it struggled in the middle of the pond.
Hi S I was at Cresswell and saw the incident with the Otter-it was all over very quickly!It was also uncertain at the time if it had managed to get free.It was right in the middle of the pond so unfortunately nothing could be done. admc

ReplyDeleteIt`s always a downer when you find a dead/dying bird. Even more so when it`s a migrant, that`s flown 100`s of miles.
